Gone Dogs
Tales of Dogs We've Loved
Gone Dogs is a book written by dog lovers, for dog lovers. I'm happy to be a part of this project, where I contribute my story, "The Wonder of Dogs," about my beloved soulmate pup, Jasper.
According to Editors Jim Mitchem and Laure Smithwick:
"Here in the US, we share our homes with over 70 million dogs. That’s about one dog for every four people. It’s like dogs are an extension of the family. Because they are. There’s a reason they’re called “man’s best friend.” And due to the length of a dog’s life, nearly every person who owns a dog will outlive it.
Anyone who has ever gone through it knows that saying goodbye to a dog is hard. The spiritual bonds we have with them are unlike any other; based entirely on unconditional love and unwavering loyalty.
Born from a blog post in 2010, Gone Dogs is a tribute to the dogs that have left us, written by the people who loved them...Gone Dogs [is] a beautiful coffee table book chock full of stories and photographs from people across the world who chose to share their tributes to dogs they feel blessed to have known."
